Duwayne, if you’re so high on the Chinese economy I think you should jump right in and put your money where your mouth is. Think of it as buying at bargain basement deals! Let us know how that works out for you… On January 22, FXI, the China large-cap ETF closed at 21.14. Currently, it's 25.79, up 22%. That's how it worked out so far (3 months). Glennkoks, you asked me to let you know how buying Chinese stocks in mid-January worked out.
Currently, FXI, the China large-cap ETF is up 53% from its mid-January price of 21.14.

Ironically, I moved 35 percent of my portfolio to Chinese stocks last January (8 months ago). Regretting not investing more.

China is geared for helping it's mid-sized entrepreneurs succeed. Ours is designed to make sure only the largest corporations can succeed, and it probably isn't going to be in manufacturing. I'm looking at 120KW 3-phase diesel generators. The cost for one in the USA is about the same as for a small house. In China, they are under $10,000, computer controlled, liquid cooled, high quality. These cannot be imported to the USA due to ICE restrictions, UL certifications, etc. The factories in China just say "screw it" and focus on Asia, India, and other more welcoming locales.

It really is nuts.
