The Seattle area is heading into its second La Niña winter. Here’s what that means Oct. 12, 2021 at 7:15 am Updated Oct. 12, 2021 at 8:47 am www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/weather/the-seattle-area-is-heading-into-its-second-la-nina-winter-heres-what-that-means/"And it looks like this coming winter could be colder — and probably wetter — than usual. That’s because we appear to be heading into our second La Niña year, which, according to State Climatologist Nick Bond, means we could be in for a doozy. The government’s top forecasters at the Climate Prediction Center believe that based on the sea-surface temperature trends in the Pacific Ocean, we could be in for La Niña winter again this year."
"We appear to be heading"...seems that is a rather bold statement to make

A man of convictions. Those who employ the standard La Nina effects map (below) may be surprised by the super longitudinal atmospheric flows this winter. It all depends where they set up before they plunge ... and how deep they go before heading east. Ask Texas from last winter.

"Western Washington could see La Niña winter this season"
"Research conducted by the Office of the Washington State Climatologist found that the second of a consecutive La Niña winter, which is what Washington state could see this year, actually trends cooler and wetter in the early part of the season, including October, November and December before weakening somewhat in the new year."
If true this would go against Theo who says the Winter will be long and cold.

I believe his forecast was for North America. He didn't say it would be long and cold for every little patch of geography within North America. Even with southward flowing longitudinal jetstream waves reaching into Mexico, there will likely be some geography on the outside/backside of that wave. If such waves continuously cover the whole continent, then that would really be something. Or perhaps it could just move back and forth across the whole continent in repeating bands like a lawn mower. A whole continent continuously frozen and thawed for five whole months. That would be exciting.

It's behind a Paywall for me, Mr. Moboy. Do you know if it can be seen elsewhere?

Bastardi is predicting snow in Glasgow for the climate conference. The Al Gore effect strikes again!
