Ready or not, we might as well get to it. Here is what Joe Bastardi had to say about the 2018 winter and I remember how cold and snowy it was here in Middle Earth. I included it because he had some interesting things to say about the oceans and water vapor. And we all know what Astro has been saying for a long time now about the upcoming winter. I love Joe B. But in all fairness he has predicted 17 of the last two cold winters!

But I remember the winters of 2009-10 (in Flagstaff and buried all winter) and 2010-11 (in Columbia and cold). Fast forward to last winter and the coming one ... and we are at the same place on a so far low solar cycle and an emergent La Nina. So in 2020-21 Flagstff got buried again ... and 2021 winter southern hemisphere is looking extreme. Spring-summer northern hemisphere has been coldish. If that is a portent and given all the rest, you don't have to shake me very hard to convince me that the odds are looking good for a good, old-fashioned, brutal, butt-kicking winter. You might wanna have a little talk with your power providers. Everybody up here was taking notes.  |
