I do not wish to cheer on hard times for anyone, but if the winter is as bad as has been forecast by some, and the energy supply does not materialize, there may be blood on the northern European tracks. We should take very close notes as we are only some time away from the same predicament. The blue-blooded, solar-wind-powered moron class should really burn for this. Although it is hard to feel too sorry for those that supported at least a decade of this self-destructive moronery while wearing their fairy beanies. Perhaps they have a chance to turn it around if they quit drinking the coolaid. And I note that none of these articles seem to mention anything about an abnormally cold winter. But it seems the government is still optimistic ... UK has plans to protect consumers from soaring gas prices -business ministerwww.reuters.com/business/energy/british-government-confident-gas-supply-minister-sharma-says-2021-09-19/The government has been moved to act after low gas storage levels, decreased supplies from Russia, demand from Asia, low renewables output and nuclear maintenance outages combined to more than triple European gas prices this year, hitting record highs.
And winter has not even begun. I am waiting to see what moronery Comrade Joe has in mind for US. It is high time that our representatives and their minions relearn the primary rule ... the government exists to protect and serve their constituents, and not the other way around.

Max was a German. Need I say more? German regimentation and efficiency works well in a factory but not so well in Government who's products are often not so fixed and market oriented.

Found this chart on UK and German electric prices since 2008, showing major spikes in 2008-09, 2016-17 and now. Lifted from Adapt 2030.

I would say that we are currently experiencing a heat wave in Oklahoma, the first in years. Supposed to cool off dramatically tomorrow, but the next 10 days forecast seems not clear yet.

Weather channel has mid-MO in the 70s and low 80s for the next 10 days. Not that many airmiles (~300 mi. (483 Km) to OK City) from Okie land by American standards. In Europe we could be in a whole new country. All of England, Wales and Northern Ireland would fit in Missouri with room to spare ... but not Scotland.

They've been revising Oklahoma downward.
BTW My place to Lake of the Ozarks is 3.5 hours, 240 highway miles.

Here's my current problem- the ragweed crop was bountiful this year, I think it does well in cool, damp years.
