This into mid-March. If similar continue into April, things could get interesting.

It has not happened yet, but! No. But I can feel it in the air. It's a-comin as they say around here. Four days of cold. Then, as always, the forecasts show warm weather out to day 10 ... until they have to change them again. Seen this numerous times this winter ... and the long-cast is consistently wrong.

72 degrees today in New Hampshire. The snow, which usually hangs around till early April, is totally gone. Still have patches of snow in The Catskills of NY on the north facing hills but it’s melting fast now. 62° at 17:00. However, I’ve been here in the beginning of April at 70° and then had a cold storm come in overnight and I woke up to 8” of snow.

Had about 3 inches of wet snow last night on warm ground. Snow is all melted as I type this. About 1.2 inches total moisture in the gauge. Gravel roads were absolutely abysmal this morning.

This is one forecast for April 4 ... 16 days out. To me, the interesting part is how longitudinal the flow is forecast to remain and how consistent the geographic pattern seems to be. Note that eastern European plume that has seemingly hung around for a long time.

72 degrees today in New Hampshire. The snow, which usually hangs around till early April, is totally gone. Not as warm here in Calgary but our snow is pretty well gone. However, you just never know what to expect here. We had one of our largest single day accumulation of snow in mid May about 35 years ago.
