Looks like Houston is going to escape the year with out a single 100 degree day. According to NOAA it's been 383 days since Houston last recorded a 100 degree+ temp which was August 29th last year. Us Houstonians will take it.

Us Houstonians will take it. We did not officially hit 100 on any day this summer either. A couple of days in each month in the high 90s. Nowhere near any record summer heat. NOAA has their head in a very dark place. But in the South of France ... Gard hit by historic rainfall -- more than 2 months' worth of rain in just 3 hours, France

Good one Acid! Right down that hugely negative summer NAO corridor (Iceland-Azores). Seems like I continue to see that locational flow pattern time after time, both summer and winter for the last couple of years. And then it floods out or freezes out someplace in the south Med. Charles Oscar is scurrying off to his hidey hole.
