Rest easy Nemesis, we're OK.....for now!  That said, the sun does seem to have gone into overdrive, there are adults voting, drinking and having sex changes...that have never seen this much solar activity. Much to my chagrin! |

Bummer of a possible strange coincidence. Thanks Acid. I was beginning to think that my edible landscape might come in handy sooner than I had thought.  And the deer DID look a little nervous this morning. And I haven't sharpened my skinning knife in ages. And you would only need to "fry" a small number of major transformers to play Hell with the electrical system. Flearider's status as a master fisherman would make him very popular in your parts. |

I can pick the Aurora out on long exposure with my camera phone as a purple cloud, but....I can't say it's a visible life changing experience 🤷♂️
Not from middle UK anyway.

Just had a look outside, the sky is full of green and red stripes, rays and curtains. Naked eye auroras around here are unusual, too much light from the nearest town.
A real treat for people who aren't near the arctic circle.
