Cold front has moved through Houston. Was 66 and raining at lunchtime. Now sunny and 75f with 31% humidity in San Leon. Predicted low is 58f.

I believe fall has arrived in NY pretty much on schedule. We have had several heavy snows on Halloween in recent memory upstate. Hopefully not this year since I’m going up to my cabin tomorrow.

Probably not "unprecedented" but very, very rare weather in my neck of the woods. A Blue Norther passed through yesterday bringing some of the strongest NW winds we have ever experienced in October. This afternoon 120,000 people are without power in the Houston area. Temperatures are not very cold but the wind from this storm was something we would experience much later in the winter.

My station registered a gust of 41mph when the wind shifted here. It's been very gusty all day. Seen several gusts over 2
