In the UK, the government plans to ban all petrol and diesel car cales after 2030.
Bearing in mind the rapidly growing unpopularity of pure EV vehicles, I wonder how this is going to pan out.
I would not like to be a city resident with no access to garage charging facilities.
There is goung to be a large trade in stolen charging cables crossing the pavements ..............
Not to mention the small problem of insurance costs and a power grid likely to go into meltdown every evening as people plug in their cars!!

Mandatory 220-volt morning rectal jump starts for ALL UK Politicians would solve that little choice problem.

Maybe the new UK government will be more pragmatic than blinkered Left .... but I'm not holding much hope.

Driving home today I could see on the big highway in the oncoming lane about a mile ahead, some black smoke, it looked like it was probably on the shoulder. Didn't know what it was but I thought there was a chance that it was a bad accident. I told Sylvia she might not want to look at this. Then we agree it's probably a grass fire, it seems like it's over to the side. And then we get there and she literally recoils and kind of screams when she sees it, it's a car and it's in a 3000 degree fire, just white hot. flame shooting up 20 ft high. And it dawns on me, that's one of those damn EVs. I assume that the people got out since it's on the shoulder, but yeah it looked like a fatality or something.
It's one thing to read about it, you really have to see it.

There was one car parked fairly nearby with a guy looking at it, no responders there yet. I didn't see anybody there. Hope no one was hurt.
