Re-reading page 1, Astro is very specific about Winter in USA.
I am more interested in the UK.
"Those who have read and trusted my previous seasonal forecasts will already know my general climate forecast; however, for those looking for advance knowledge I offer these tips to use during the summer & autumn seasons of 2021.
There will be significant signs of the long cold winter in October 2021, then winter will officially begin on November 5, 2021 and will last until May 5, 2022.
The primary problem will be precipitation of freezing rain, heavy snowfalls and ice storms due to the oscillation of low cold temperatures, at times, subzero temperatures with polar vortex intrusions into the middle latitudes of the northern hemisphere.
It will be followed by early to mid-spring floods due to snowmelt from heavy rains in April, May and June 2022.
The months of October, November & December 2021 will be active; weather-wise being colder and wetter than normal.
January 2022 will feature colder-than-normal temperatures for two-thirds of North America with intermittent polar vortex incursions.
February 2022 will be drier, but colder than normal featuring snowfall in late January 2022 and again in the third week of February."

How's Astro's forecast holding up? I think he forecasts it to begin in earnest on November 5th... Yes, according to my calculations, again, I have forecast that the brutally long, cold, wet, and heavy precipitation northern hemispheric winter 2021/2022 will officially begin on Friday, November 5, 2021 and will extend through early spring 2022 and finally winter will end on Thursday, May 5, 2022. And right on cue. Well actually a day early temps in SE Texas are forecast to be about 10-15 degrees below normal. Got to give credit where credit is due. Many local headlines state that winter begins this week. Got to give credit to Astromet. We will see how the rest of the winter pans out but this week is going to be colder than the Astro's bats were last night in the World Series.

Well, this is more conventional climatology Simon. It has been well known in astrometeorology that heavy snow over Eurasia in October and November can have strong influence on the eastern U.S. and say, the Upper Midwest, eastern Canada. Conventional researchers are long overdue in discovering found that plenty of snowfall say, over Siberia and eastern Asia in October & November can witness a large area of cold air to develop over that region. At some point in the winter that large patch of cold may shift to then cross the polar region and head into the eastern United States.  |

I think that most of the protestors would not survive if thrown into the pre-industrial world that they seem to want. They (and most of us) don't have the knowledge/training to do it as it was done back in the old days. You could give some of them lessons Flea. The sea is still there. |

If we were to tomorrow ban all petrol, say the loss of food, just for one, would have such an effect I can only ponder. |
