Cool and wet in Middle Earth. April 1.6F below normal. For now, May is continuing the trend. Rained all night. My wheel barrel has a loose average of 2 to 3 inches in it. The Cardinals are out in force, feeding on the refugees from my small, saturated flood plain. The old Missouri farmer saying that you're only a week away from a drought has been extended to two weeks. I can verify the heavy rains from Oklahoma City to Ohio. The trucks were driving too fast for the visibility and there were 6 crashes that we passed including 1 on the Oklahoma turnpike not long after we left Tulsa that resulted in us sitting 3 hours waiting for the debris to be cleared.
There won't be much farm field work in the next few days in eastern Oklahoma, northern Texas, central Missouri, southern Illinois, Indiana and western Ohio.

I have had over 4 inches in North East Gage County in the last week. Everything is saturated and ponds are full.

Code, Please fix. Last week Aug 2021 made the mistake of leaving the windows open in our house on 70f deg high day. Had to start pellet stove that evening to take chill off the house. I've been heating house for nine months now. Prob ok for AK but NOT OK for SW Oregon.
