Canadian geese have been flying over my home migrating South Normal timeframe in past years? Wish I knew? I did some quick checking and these articles suggest they are early.

Canadian geese have been flying over my home migrating South Normal timeframe in past years? In NY, I’m used to seeing large flocks of Canada’s heading south during hunting season in November. |

Canadian geese have been flying over my home migrating South Seriously? Canadian geese? That has to be a full 6 weeks earlier than normal? Don't get down to the coastal plain of Texas until late November at the earliest. Figures, I just planted two avocado trees in my yard... I have to admit I was thinking about Astromet's forecast when I was digging the holes and went ahead and did it anyway. |

Don't get down to the coastal plain of Texas until late November at the earliest. Figures, I just planted two avocado trees in my yard... I have to admit I was thinking about Astromet's forecast when I was digging the holes and went ahead and did it anyway. Yeah, Theo has me spooked bless his heart...I'm updating the insulation in my home next month and it was surprisingly inexpensive. |

Take a look at the GFS and European model temperature forecasts for August 17-30. Much cooler temperatures are forecast for both NA and Europe. It would be amazing if Mr. Astro's forecast from years ago verifies with such remarkable accuracy. Color me very impressed if that happens, and the cool continues. Yes, autumn will come earlier, as I forecasted. it has already begun in some regions, but only a few are taking notice, which is par for the course. In the article above the author mentions blackbirds grouping up. I had never paid attention to such a sight before reading that. Last evening at my son's football practice a 'flock' of blackbirds flew overhead for approx. 3 or 4 minutes. The problem is I have no idea what is normal timing for them to behave in such a way in Pennsylvania. Ask your friends and neighbors if they know of a local bird watching group. They'll know. |
