Transferred from previous solarcycle25 site. Pleased to be here, but would like to see some segregation of topics other than "general discussion" Only interested in climate stuff. Could you separate out all the virus controversy?

Could you separate out all the virus controversy? I agree, to a point Neil....issue I see is other subtopics being added and then this becomes a conspiracy forum rather then a solar related one? CV will ebb in its importance (hopefully)

Hi, new member to this board, old member (though quiet most of the time) to the old board. Been following solarcycle 24 since 2009. I have read Henrik Svensmarks book on the sun and climate change. Tony Hellor is on my youtube list. Ever since I started digging deep into the science behind the data I have not believed the smoke and mirrors of climate change. The fact Tony shows how graphs have been manipulated and newspaper stories from 100 years ago to back up the data that climate change is not happening how we are being told proves alot.
Unfortunately alot of the public just believe what they are told. You would not bet on a horse just because someone told you to? You would do your research...same with climate change.
Ciao

"If everyone is thinking the same thing, then someone isn't thinking" should be the motto of this board.

Guys, thank you for the warm (talking about climate change is that a pun?) Welcome.
For those who ask I am situated in Central UK. Northamptonshire to be precise. It misses most of the severe weather it seems, thunderstorms pass us by, snow showers miss us, but it is a pleasant area of the country. I have nearly 50 years of observations, noted in my head, that I fall back on...warmest July ever? Really? Was warmer in the past such as 2003 with record temperatures recorded at Pitsford reservoir. At least we have the CET records to fall back on though it is very interesting much data has been recorded in the states about weather and to watch the graphs get twisted and manipulated to make the science fit the theory...

Climate "change" is what's left over after they've stollen all the folding money and credit for their pet projects. They then pass this out like pocket change and they expect you to thank them. They used to call them feudal Lords. I just call them crooks.

Welcome Shaggy! Lovely part of the UK you live in, a lot like my home of Seattle. I just watched a program called House Hunters International that took place I think near you.

Hi Shaggy, welcome! We're not far apart, I'm in Buckingham just over the Nhants border. The general public are frustrating....I stopped to chat to a neighbour as I drove past in my mitsubishi l200, after a minute he suggested I carry on as my engine was running and contributing to climate change, I asked 'what climate change', as Ida had just flooded NY he used that as an example....this coming from a guy who didn't know how much CO² is in the atmosphere when I asked him. Its a simplified narrative being projected on a subject which is easily one of the more complicated.
