Sure there are conservatives in upstate NY. Heck, even if there's only literally one in a million there are conservatives in NYC. And a republican candidate could win the entire upstate area in a landslide and still get crushed in the statewide results.
Even according to the entirely fair and open election of 2020 Trump won about 5 out of every 6 counties in the US. And he got votes even in places like LA and Chicago. But even with an allowance for fraud it was a fairly close race.
Our population is HIGHLY urbanized. Worse, urban areas used to be industrial centers. They were filled with people who did actual useful work for a living. Now they're full of people who make fancy coffee and move imaginary numbers around in spreadsheets. Is it any wonder that they're liberal strongholds? But they vote, at least enough to keep up the illusion of democracy.

I have a republican friend on Long Island who has been suspicious of New York elections for a few years. Ballot harvesting in the urban centers goes only one way walnut and it is pernicious. In person, proof of ID voting will not be kind to the Marxists and they will claim anyone suggesting it is a fascist, racist, sexist, homophobe troglodyte and the MSM will do all they can to prove it.…EFEM!

Maybe. But we're gonna make a hell of a bonfire going out.

Yep. Just as Hillary is poison for Dems. No, she's mostly been killing republicans.
Oh, you didn't mean literally...

From an email from the Babylon Bee:
Readers of the Bee,
Eight months ago, USA Today named Rachel Levine — a transgender government official — “woman of the year.” It was pretty funny, if we’re being honest. But it was also a slap in the face to real women everywhere. So we fired back, in defense of women and sanity, with a joke of our own:
“The Babylon Bee’s Man of the Year Is Rachel Levine”
Twitter was not amused. They locked our account for hateful conduct. “Delete the joke and admit you engaged in hateful conduct,” they said, “and you can have your account back.”
We refused. We did not engage in hateful conduct. In fact, we used humor to tell the truth, and the truth is not hate speech. So I sent an email to our readers on March 21 vowing to never delete that tweet, even if it meant the permanent loss of our presence on Twitter.
Thankfully, we never had to delete anything.
In late October, Elon Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion with a promise to restore balance and humor to the platform. On November 18, he unlocked our account and set us free. Shortly before he did so, he posted one of the most-liked tweets in Twitter history:
“Comedy is now legal on Twitter.”
The Bee will hit 2 million followers soon. We had 1.5 million when Twitter first locked us up. We now have more followers and reach across all platforms than ever before — not because we acquiesced, but because we stubbornly refused to bend the knee for tyrants.
This wasn’t just a win for the Bee, though. It was an historic win for speech, humor, and truth. It also goes to show that taking a stand might cost you something, but you never know what will come from it down the road. You never know who you’ll inspire or embolden with your actions, and the ripple effect that will produce.

I couldn't find a remotely unbiased media source, but the .gov is, for once, surprisingly reasonable. Maybe the NRC hasn't been corrupted as much as other Three Letter Agencies? Well, OK, obviously they're not as corrupted because they actually did something useful and certified it (in a reasonable timeframe, no less), so obviously they haven't drunk the full Dem commie-aid. www.energy.gov/ne/articles/nrc-certifies-first-us-small-modular-reactor-design"The design is an advanced light-water SMR with each power module capable of generating 50 megawatts of emissions-free electricity. "NuScale’s VOYGR™ SMR power plant can house up to 12 factory-built power modules that are about a third of the size of a large-scale reactor."

In a sane world this would be getting mass media coverage, but enough with my fantasy.
