From an email forward:
Kirk Uhler December 16 at 2:26 AM · Today was the first day of Governor Nussolini's new mask mandate. On my way home from work, I stopped by the local Walmart Neighborhood Market to buy food for dinner (wife thought "Taco Wednesday" sounded good). I walk in to the store without a mask. It goes from here... Greeter: "Good evening, sir. Today is the first day of the new statewide mask mandate Governor Newsom ordered. Do you have a mask?" Me: "Did you know a white United States Senator self-identified as a Native American and got a mid-six figure salary to teach at an Ivy League School?" Greeter: "I heard about that." Me: "Did you know that hundreds of men are now self-identifying as women to use their bathrooms and beat them in their sports." Greeter: "Yeah, that is so wrong!" Me: "Well, I self-identify as Gavin Newsom at the French Laundry restaurant, therefore I am exempt from my own mask mandate." Greeter, after a pause: "Welcome in, Governor! Please let me know if you need help finding anything!" God Bless America!!!

In the case of models, faster machines just allow you to get the wrong answer faster.

On the plus side, the Democratic party is eating itself. On the downside, they're going after the members who still have a trace of sanity first. www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/moderates-are-no-longer-welcome-in-the-democratic-party"Maud Maron is a centrist Democratic candidate in New York’s 10th Congressional District. She’s pushed back on COVID policies that kept children masked in schools into 2022. She calls for investment in law enforcement rather than defunding the police. She publicly questions gender ideology and opposes including men in women’s sports (her Twitter bio includes #IStandWithJKRowling). Yet she remains, as Suzy Weiss called her, “one of those classic big-city liberals — pro-choice, a longtime public defender at Legal Aid, a Bernie Sanders contributor.”" "The Brooklyn Democratic clubs determined yesterday that Maron’s views on gender make her unfit for a public platform. The collective of clubs, including Lambda Independent Democrats, New Kings Democrats, Brooklyn Young Democrats, South Central Brooklyn United for Progress, and Equality NY, decided jointly to exclude Maron from an upcoming forum featuring candidates for NY-10. "Citing her criticism of Biden’s expansion of Title IX, they accuse her of using her platform to “spread hate and misinformation around gender identity and the transgender community” by “intentionally citing falsehoods and scientific inaccuracies to justify bigotry.” "

Perhaps CensorBook is finally suffering the well-deserved consequences of its actions? www.thestreet.com/technology/zuckerberg-facebook-have-very-bad-news-for-the-economy"Meta Platforms (META) is not doing well. The social-media giant, parent of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, has been sending alarming signals for several months. "It was ejected from the world's top 10 most valuable companies, and this year its market capitalization has fallen by nearly $545 billion. "During the third quarter, which is about to end, the shares have fallen some 15%, which by itself translated into a drop of $57.5 billion in market value from July through September."

Question for some techie on the board. I run Firefox on my laptop. The system boots up in Windows 10. Then I start Firefox. Lately(only for the last month) there are many videos on certain sources that WILL NOT run. Twitter is one of them. Youtube videos will still run. IF I change over to Windows 10, I can view Twitter videos. Any thoughts?

In Chrome, some Sky videos won't play in standard mode but work OK in private mode. It's a pain in the a**. Post a couple on non-playing links?

Having been to Upstate NY (once) I agree with you. Hoping for a magnitude 10 directly under "Pink Ground". Lacking that, the Indians might want the Apple back. We'll sweeten the pie by throwing in St Louis City.

I have a republican friend on Long Island who has been suspicious of New York elections for a few years.
