According to Dr Spencer's blog, lower troposphere temps have moved as follows:
Jan 23 -0.04 DegC Sept 23 +0.9 degC
Something dramatic seems to be happening, but ski resorts in N America are opening early.
Might add that in Oz, BOM long range forecast for spring/summer of warm dry El Nino weather for SE feels rather erratic.
It is really cold [my heating is on in Melbourne] and flood watches are being issued for most of Eastern Victoria ..............!

It's tempting to blame the H2O strataspheric input from Hunga Tonga somehow. With our continuous satellite monitoring of wave-length-specific outgoing radiation, you would think that something would stand out if there has been a dramatic change. IF anybody is looking. It has been a year now ... but these are the first El Nino conditions since.

Looking at figs from Dr Spencer more closely, SH is less marked, but tropics have gone from -0.32 degC in Jan 23 to +1.02 in Sept.
I am not sure how this relates to huge recent snowfalls in NZ and S America.
And the SOI index seems to be heading towards positive territory ..................
Perhaps climate science is not settled?!

polarportal.dk/en/greenland/surface-conditions/Greenland accumulating spectacular amounts of snow. I suspect glaciers elsewhere are now starting to grow. I would also suspect that some ski resorts in the Western USA may find themselves glaciated if there is another winter with large snowfalls ............. I wonder if sea level rises have now stopped, but it seems hard to prove this. Too much confirmation bias in the measuring agencies?

Looks like a low snow year at my home mountain...bummer Over 30 day forecast is less than 50% verified. Don't sell your coat, nor your skiing.
