We are quite literally being asked to live like Chinese peasants did 40 or 50 years ago, riding around on bicycles, living on a subsistence diet, having small families and forgoing the comforts of modern life. Instead of dreaming about travelling to the stars, we’ll be yearning for a time when we could get our kids to soccer practice.
