So, in conclusion: Giant, insulated domes with thermal energy capture/re-distribution systems should be installed over all urban centers. This will eliminate the ignored global warming contribution of UHI, recycle the energy for other uses and isolate the urban insanity.  |

Some sources appear to have retained their sanity. Even the Dutch! Winter 2022-23 should be exciting. La Nina shows no sign of slowing down.
The Czech ambassador at large for energy security, Vaclav Bartuška, put it bluntly: “If there is a gas cut out this winter, we will burn anything we can to keep our people warm and to make electricity.”

And so it begins. Russia cut off gas to Germany today for a scheduled 10 day maintenance. Billion dollar question, do they turn it back on July 21st as planned? I'm thinking no, but Putin is a hard guy to figure out. Schadenfreude is defined as: pleasure derived by someone from another person's misfortune. I believe it is bad Karma to take pleasure in someone else's misfortune but I believe this is not bad luck or circumstance. It's stupidity, wrapped up in bureaucratic foolishness and naivety. Tell Them They Can't Build It and They Will Come. Our engineers are good.
Crux OCM, a company that has developed software that automates certain pipeline operating procedures, much like autopilot does for planes/pilots. The company’s software can expand throughput production capacity by up to 10 percent. They made the news last week with an announcement of a new customer, Phillips 66, who plans to implement the software across their network.
Think of the potential value embedded in software like this. Some parts of North America’s oil and gas production landscape are unable to grow without further pipeline access. It is safe to assume anyone that watches energy at all knows by now how difficult it is to get new pipelines built.
