Ratty, SW Oregon. We were in server drought Sept. 2021 Started the year out with above avg rain but the the rains stopped and we got hit with heat mid winter. Stayed dry for our rainy months then late winter rains came back with above avg amounts but not enough to get us to yearly avg. So still drought THe way the lack of rain this winter I didn't think I would be allowed to irrigate this summer but I think I will be OK till late summer.

Pasture for hay and beef. I'm not doing it for a living so it's different. But my father planted the old crop land on the farm back to grass. Fescue was the rage at the time. Since then, native grasses (big and little blue and indian grass) have been reclaiming the land all on their own. Thick now, with a fescue understory. No fertilizer, no watering, and they seem to love a drought. Great hay.

Haskell, OK, just SE of Tulsa has received 12 inches over the last few days. And I've noticed that town has drainage issues. Conservatively, I think we got 4 or 5 inches. Grass and low covers love this sht. Others are more retarded, But when the heat kicks in, there is going to be an explosion on my home lot. I had to be the angel of death on one stubborn vine I have. Made of iron and invassive as hell. This vine spray is good stuff ... If you're not a vine. That forecast of heavier spring rainfall in the center of the Midwest looks like a good one. And several F below the 1981-2010 norm. How much and how cold will be interesting. Someone should design some condolence cards for the true believers. Many will not like looking like idiots as the consensus bleeds off. Yesterday and today the garden exploded. Hit 90 F today.

Yesterday's TMax here was 17C (63 in the obsolete measure), somewhat below 'normal'.
