Does anyone have a link to the monthly oulu data? Doesn't appear to be a direct link to a mthly table here cosmicrays.oulu.fi/
While looking for monthly oulu data, I ran across this paper looking a cosmic rays and human health. Jane. You might find some background reading on suspected/proposed links between solar/cosmic energy spectra and climate helpful. I did. Ben Davidson's at "suspicious observers" web site has been looking at these issues for a long time. You might find the following video useful. I revisit it at times. I think it is fair to state that climate is a lot more complex than Charles Oscar 2.

Thank you for the link. Very interesting. So .. cosmic rays are MAJOR, correct? Added to that, the Hoyle/Wickramasinghe hypothesis, then we have a major influence that is coming in. I still don't quite understand why it has ramped up so significantly in the last six years, even with a relatively quiet SC24. Something has shifted, I feel.

Could it have anything to do with our planet's declining / shifting geomagnetic field?

<button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button>Here is the graph of cosmic rays from 1964. Even though it has dipped slightly, it is still at or above the level it reached at any of the previous solar minima since then. From cosmicrays.oulu.fi/
It is as if there is a new base platform, or something has shifted since the start of SC24.
PS Sorry for the small image. Not sure how to enlarge it. Welcome to the forum Jane! I'm no expert on the subject but I believe it is widely accepted that the Earth's magnetic field has been consistently weakening over the last century and continues as well as wondering. Since it is a large factor responsible for shielding the Earth from cosmic rays, it makes sense that there should be an inverse relationship between magnetic field strength and surface cosmic ray detection. Some good info: climate.nasa.gov/news/3105/earths-magnetosphere-protecting-our-planet-from-harmful-space-energy/Moboy that was mentioned yesterday

The Sun Fades To Blank The sun has just registered its first spotless day in months: “a remarkable development,” so says Dr Tony Philips of spaceweather.com. A blank solar disc is a rare feat during the ramp-up of a cycle, and it has me asking if we’re now witnessing something of a stepping down of Solar Cycle 25? Is this a further indication that we are indeed on the cusp of the next Grand Solar Minimum?

This is from the comments section of Electroverse for June 29. Can't comment other than that. Daily sunspots for June is going to take a big negative hit for June (compared to May) based on end of month daily counts. From June=96 avg. daily down into the 70s. Ol Sol has a stutter.

SC 25 progression continues to defy the Boomers. It is following past spikes and troughs nicely ... just above the SC24 observations. Maybe 8 months to first peak.
