Walnut, M'boy, Sig and Blu. You have no idea how much I'd love to own vehicles like yours!!! There's an American airbase nearby and occasionally have such trucks drive by. They're a little big for UK, but really standout here. Love American cars in general...'65 to '71 is peak for me....because obvious reasons...but I know the difference between a low boy and a high boy, what to do to the roof of a '50 Mercury and what the GNX means when on an '80s Buick. The fact that fathers and sons in US take engines apart and rebuild for fun just doesn't replicate as a culture in UK. Basically I was born to parents in the wrong country 😄 They can be fun. My son is crazy about his car and spends (for him) a lot of money on it. I kind of prefer them stock and well maintained.
Today I put on new brakes, front calipers, struts and shocks, front axles, upper and lower control arms/ball joints, sway links, and tie rod ends. The works. Done in 8 hours.

If I can get you a work visa, I'm sure I could place you in a workshop nearby.

I only do it because I've never found a mechanic that I really like nearby.
But, what's it pay? lol I've never touched a Holden.

I'd like to see more data on how long EV batteries are lasting in real use. I've seen numbers all over the place searching on Google.

Personally....wouldn't risk driving an ev for 9 years..... would you get 9 yrs out of them ?? for the cost they really seem expensive .. what does it work out per yr ? 2-3 x a petrol or diesel ? I'm in a bit of a unusual position. I do what I'm told is alot of miles/year, 20,000....no sniggering from the yanks or antipodeans please 😉 My previous truck did 24mpg, I'd paid it off, 2nd hand purchase anyway... At 1.85/ltr it could easily cost me £750/mth in fuel. Plus it was at 150,000 miles so maintenance costs came often. The 2yr old ev I bought @£300/mth, costs £120/mth @27p/kwh. So I had higher then average running costs previously and can make good savings. MG ZS is ~£30,000 new, mine has 180mile range, New model has 270. In nearly 3 months, I haven't had to charge away from home once, and have never not been comfortably above 20% battery. I'll prob swap it for new model in 18-24 months.

On your old diesel Acid. Ever thought about armoring it up, getting it on some transport to Ukraine, and charging the government a hefty fee? Everybody else is.
