Usually, futures can be pretty red overnight and green by morning. Not this time -835 The question becomes, who is short options. This looks like a planned exercise.

I moved a bunch of positions to cash on Tuesday. Didn't like the feel of the market.
Inept administration, inept Fed, etc.
Looking at nominations. How out to lunch can an administration be?
When the Fed worries more about climate policy than monetary policy we know we are slipping faster down a greased slope.

Keep up a skeer! But the skeer is wearing off and people are asking questions and pointing fingers.

You think that they focus grouped that name "omicron"? Their computer found the perfect word, scary without being obviously contrived.

You think that they focus grouped that name "omicron"? Their computer found the perfect word, scary without being obviously contrived. Sounds like a new wave Egyptian God. So old-school unimpressive. Gorgon would br better ... biding (bid ein g) its/their time in the shadows until Perseus slays one. Which is the mortal gorgon? A Gorgon is a creature in Greek mythology. Gorgons occur in the earliest examples of Greek literature. While descriptions of Gorgons vary, the term most commonly refers to three sisters who are described as having hair made of living, venomous snakes and horrifying visages that turned those who beheld them to stone. Traditionally, two of the Gorgons, Stheno and Euryale, were immortal, but their sister Medusa was not and was slain by the demigod and hero Perseus.

The head moron (who bides his time in the shadows with his moronetes) will not be pleased that you so easily exposed their identity. You are scheduled for injectionation tomorrow.

You think that they focus grouped that name "omicron"? Their computer found the perfect word, scary without being obviously contrived. They deliberately left off the "y" (omi crony). The name Pharmakon (or Pharma con) would be too obvious, although it does contain the root of the problem. Pharmacon
A pharmacon or pharmakon is a biologically active substance. It is used more broadly than the term drug because it includes endogenous substances, and biologically active substances which are not used as drugs. Typically the word pharmacon includes pharmacological agonists and antagonists, but also enzyme inhibitors. Spelt with a "k", is acceptable in English, but more common in German. In most cases pharmacon is the equivalent to active ingredient. Cc.
The ancient Greek word for "pharmacy" means "witch" or "witchcraft". I have read that its root meaning can also mean "poison". Click to see full answer. Also know, what does Pharmacia mean? from Medieval Latin pharmacia, from Greek pharmakeia "use of drugs, medicines, potions, or spells; poisoning, witchcraft; remedy, cure," from pharmakeus ... askinglot.com/what-is-the-greek-meaning-of-pharmacy

Unnecessarily scary headline! Down 905 points ( 2.53%). Chickenfeed. Monday will be different, perhaps. October 19, 1987: Stock market crash DJIA falls 508 points ( 22.6%), making it the largest one-day drop by percentage in the index's history

The Alpha, Beta and Gamma variants are also listed as of concern.
Omicron is the Greek letter for O, continuing WHO’s Greek alphabet naming convention for Covid-19 variants. It opted to skip the letter N, perhaps for clarity, as this would be known as the “Nu” variant.
I like Pharmacon for obvious reasons.
But Omicron kinda makes me think of "necronomicon" the book of the dead.
Or maybe the "Loc-Nar" since they are going full silly.

Meanwhile money pours into the market. If you try to call a top you'll be killed. I got out a few months ago when the market was around 34,000. I've lost a little in gains but I sleep better. I'm investing in a new type of redneck currency. With the 900 point drop the other day I may be doing better than the market is!
