So far half of March's days have been 15F to 25F above normal here in Middle Earth. Every plant (vegetable to tree) believes it is Spring. One apple blossom is about to flower. The green onions are growing by inches a day. The bees are out working my flowering ground cover. And we have had 2-3 inches of rain. Sure hope there isn't a massacre. Very much like 2012 spring. That one turned very dry by summer. " 15F to 25F above normal "? Should there be decimal points before the 5s?

x.com/profstonge/status/1768614065289458141?s=20America's Farmers are getting wiped out. Leaving hollowed-out communities that rival the rust-belt. According to the USDA, we’ve lost 140,000 farms just in the last 5 years. What’s driving it is inflationary costs, falling revenue, and green mandates. One new rule alone, on “Sustainable Produce,” could cost nearly one-fifth of income for a small farm. And there are hundreds of these mandates in the pipeline.

not really surprised about that and they still don't understand that there is a difference between grain and grass feed meat and for that matter wild or farmed fish that is feed grain.

with continuing waves of data supporting vit D3 but again mainstream blindness to then discover that the biggest part of D3 production goes to animal feed for the animals health you do wonder.

Seams simple enough.... I am more of an equipment guy so I clicked on the equipment needed link in the article. I could be wrong, but I don't think a person could grow 500 acres with the stuff shown in the pictures. Full disclosure: I don't grow potatoes.

They forgot to include a bobcat, hoppers, seed cutter, bin piler, spud boxes, storage, etc etc. Also, a 3 year rotation is a short one. Whoever wrote the article doesn't know much about potatoes. Was a fun read non the less.

Unlee Mother Nature throws us a big curveball, every plant and animal in my yard is convinced it is Spring. All apple trees in full bloom in a couple of days. Sucking up carbon at the speed of light. Gonna hire them out.
