It's been a super tough summer in Texas for a skeptic. We have just endured the hottest/driest summer on record and when the final numbers are in for August it is not even going to be close. The records will be crushed...
With that being said I was not around in the 1930's or the 1950's when we had some nasty heat and drought. In my part of the world the 1970's were some of the coolest years on record and that was when I was growing up and formed many of my memories. So my baseline is set growing up in a cooler decade. I am holding out hope that whatever caused the Pacific Climate Shift of 1976-77 and a rapid shift to a warming world can do the opposite and shift back.
When I look at the data and how much warmer the last 35 years have been in my area I grow skeptical of my skepticism.
It was once very common for Houston to cool off into the lower 70's or upper 60's at night in prior to 1977. Nowadays it is very uncommon for us to drop below 77F.

I'm not sure that there has been any warming. After all, 100 year floods do happen. Doesn't mean that AGW is a significant factor. Aren't we still exiting an ice age?

I think methane has the same effect on global temperatures as CO 2, ie, very little to none.

and now in the IPCC the latest estimate is a quarter of the impact previously though plus its a decay curve due to the conversion of CH4 to CO2 over time with UV in play. So lets get this one placed where it belongs, "not material"!!!!

The huge amount of water vapor hurled into the atmosphere, as detected by NASA’s Microwave Limb Sounder, could end up temporarily warming Earth’s surface. www.nasa.gov/feature/jpl/tonga-eruption-blasted-unprecedented-amount-of-water-into-stratosphere

Walnut that has been revoked in the most recent IPCC report. It is now accepted to be about a quarter of that 80 times.
Additionally the residence time shows that it remains at a constant level if the emissions are constant. They have been emitted for ever so relax.
The methane thing is about the Seventh Day Adventist cults drive to kill the consumption meat. An unholy alliance between the Left the SDA and the Greens

An unholy alliance between the Left the SDA and the Greens ... and methane from massive herds of wildebeest, bison, etc would have been an influence in geologic times. Methane as a threat is a beat-up like CO 2, but sounds scarier.

See Ratty you did it again, you said, "it would have been an influence in geological time" what you should have said is, "it had no influence in any geological time".
