There's just no substance to it. form vs substance. Biden is an acting, real tyrant. Trump had a boorish style. Big difference. I'm no fan of Trump, far from it now, but he wasn't much of a fascist. More like controlled opposition. Trump was a deep stater who flipped on his mafia bosses. He thought that with time and the right appointments, they would let him back in the club. They obviously didn't. RFK Jr. is playing the same game.

Every nation gets the government it deserves,” wrote the philosopher Joseph de Maistre, and some are getting it good and hard right now. De Maistre’s moral interpretation of politics admits of exceptions, but the United States in 2023 is not one of them. A wasting tide of bad education and corruption is rotting the cultural and constitutional piers that, since the Civil War, have kept the US above the waters of chaos. unherd.com/2023/08/america-is-now-a-zombie-state/

There is a name for this spiritual and intellectual condition, and it is nihilism. Nihilism is demonic to the extent that the will to nothing is still a will, a life force. That it is only a negative one is by no means reassuring, because it is easier and more economical to tear down than to build up. Destruction is dramatic and accomplishes the illusion of vitality with relatively little energy. And who in this apocalyptic time, including the nihilist, doesn’t want to feel even a little alive?" My children and grandchildren are exceptional, intelligent people raised with values and decency. I am sad that they do not have the same future I had. I'm doing my best to teach them how to survive. I don't see how this cultural toilet can recover.

thefederalist.com/2023/08/18/trump-doesnt-deserve-a-second-term-for-how-he-mismanaged-covid/"Donald J. Trump currently faces unfair indictments that threaten the future of this republic by establishing judicial persecution as a way to keep political opponents out of office. If Trump becomes our nominee, millions of Americans will vote for him no matter what happens in court. They might see voting for him as necessary to send the message that this kind of persecution cannot be tolerated, but the record speaks for itself: Trump in no way deserves a second term." "President Trump played a key role in allowing us to be stripped of our freedoms and, through championing Operation Warp Speed, to be later subjected to draconian vaccine mandates during the Biden administration." "Trump’s biggest indictment is that what control he did have, even after dissenting from Fauci and Birx, he refused to exercise. Defenders say moves like firing Fauci, Birx, and extreme mask-promoter Redfield wouldn’t have meant much because the mass hysteria had already set in. But it would have meant everything to people hurt by Covid policies; it would have shown prudence, conviction, and a willingness to learn from his errors." (emphasis added)
I stand by my statements that Trump was better than Hillary, and would have been better than Biden. Nevertheless he was a poor president overall and a dismal failure in the major crisis of his administration. He does not deserve time in prison, but neither does he deserve time in the White House. The Republican Party had better candidates available in 2016 and has better ones now (OK, it has some worse ones too).

This nation desperately needs a resolute Constitutionalist with judgment and balls that cannot be bought. It requires a confident clear thinking Alpha male with a healthy ego but not a narcissist. I don’t see that combination of attributes in the field. An extremely rare combination of traits in this time. The US is in a perilous moment in its history and will require a Cincinnatus character to save the precious gift the founders gave us all. ☹️
