In NE North Dakota. We need rain yesterday. We could use some too. May normal is 4.6 inches. We got 0.5. But it is supposed to wetten up here in the next few days. My potatoe patch is looking good ... about 2 feet tall and flowering. But I have been cheating and irrigating. Hope that dome goes away.

It's going to be dry and dead here by August. The ranchers were already miserable last year. May be worse this year.

Not saying that SC24 hydrological conditions will repeat. Merely another test.
US Drought monitor - June 5, 2012 (LEFT), May 30, 2023 (RIGHT) - Same location Solar Cycle 24 (LEFT) and Solar Cycle 25 (RIGHT) - The West is out of drought. US Drought monitor - June 5, 2012 (LEFT), July 8, 2012 (RIGHT) - Midwest drought buildup June-July, 2012, Solar Cycle 24.

Looks like TS in Oklahoma and Kansa every PM through the weekend. Might help, but probably hit and miss variety. Interesting that today's new drought monitor shows NE North Dakota as "abnormally dry." That's the least severe of the categories. I gather you disagree with that assessment, Mr. Sig.?

NE North Dakota is past the abnormally dry stage.

I suspect Sig you have an eye to the future as much as to current MC. Weather which is dry stays dry. And as Joe B. says "if its dry you fry."

That's a very good summary of the general fertilizer situation. Especially the supply shocks caused by everyone trying to hoard at once. Prices to the US farmer have fallen back within a more normal range for this summer, but last spring was painful
