Today I paid the gas bill (heating) for March. Used half as much as in February ... and paid the same price. Fuel price doubled.

Half of April gone ... 2F below normal so far. We've just had a lovely warm day Missouri, bank holiday too so cleaned off the BBQ, wore some shorts and cooked with a beer in hand 🍺 glorious! I remember last year looking at the trees tho and wondering if they shouldn't be leafing, and they didn't till mid May. We'll yes, they're all leafing now. Huge variation in time!

You pinched my Spring. Enjoy it. Trying to guess what Milan and the N.Italy Lakes weather will be like the last days of May. Crap shoot? Just looked on Weather Underground and London's high was 7F above ours.

End of May is getting pretty safe I'd say regarding warmth. It's cloud and precip that can catch you out. We've got a southerly tract atm, it's a benefit 👍🏻 Caveat....you'll be in foot hills of alps north of Milan, altitude = cooler.

Half of April gone ... 2F below normal so far. Seventeen days into April. Minimum temps in Middle Earth are 4.3 F below normal. Highs are 2 F below normal. A continuation of recent trends. The Great Hot Tub continues to cool. The pacific Gyre has been backing off for a decade or two. The Tropics are cooling like crazy. A third Nina push is underway. The Humboldt is pushing more cold water north. UV is down. Less water column heating. Lunar gravitation is pushing colder water around. To top it off, lunatics are cutting off the energy and growth inputs required to feed a World population that has expanded dramatically during the warm times. What are the odds that those agriculturally-challenged areas that long ago outgrew their ability to feed themselves are absolutely going to starve. The waves of the hungery (food and economics) are already on the move in great numbers. The "Great Migrations" of the cold times at the end of the Roman Warm Period rearranged the Western Roman Empire. And its remnants were pillaged and destroyed (for a while) by the related westward push of the Islamic Conquest. Happy Easter.

I was feeling quite good about things, now I have a sense of foreboding 😲😉
