Two days in the 40s. Lots of rain ... at least 2 inches. Slow and steady. A good farmer's rain. Every spring bulb, onion, ground cover, iris, echinacea and early flowers are "springing" literally from the ground. Peach buds are starting to swell. Mostly pretty hardy but if we were to get a real cold blast, the peaches would suffer. The models are optimistically warm, but in the 10-day range they've been iffy all winter.

Spring is sprung out in Seattle. Trees are blooming, buds are budding, geese are flying back North. I think Theo's winter is over.

I have driven on that stretch of road many times. A rural area but a lot of traffic to/from urban centers. It doesn't matter how good and experienced a driver you are if you're surrounded by people that are not. The guy taking that video should have been about 30 yards behind the tree line for safety and a lot farther from that tanker truck. Situational awareness and a basic understanding of momentum is needed.
