Nope. May have been a volcano of the mind. But the activity seems pretty high. No year without a summer - YET.

Real Spring hit here on April 1 and shows no sign of leaving ... 60s and 70s as far as you can see. Some 80s. If this plays like 2012 (same SC location) it will dry off by July. It's dry here now. But flowering life is all around.

notalotofpeopleknowthat.wordpress.com/2023/04/18/what-is-a-1000-year-flood/#more-63619"The concept is widely misunderstood and implies a set of assumptions about the climate system that are not reflective of reality. I know the concept is now widely used in so-called event attribution analyses and press releases, and that just adds to the confusion. It is also built into the policy fabric of U.S. flood policy and is used in the insurance industry."

Forecast is calling for a 1-night low of 31F. Based on the 1888-2021 data, that forecast is 6F below a tenth percentile event this late in the season. They happen at "the usual" places during low solar cycles. Last ones occurred in 2018, 2020 and 2021. Keep your ice sheets up there Sig. My plants are not prepared for that.

In Spain and France that departure is DRY. What about the positive IOD ... strongest since about 1950. And these past 4 years of very low pressure over the Azores (chart 2) lowest summer NAO since the Dalton Minimum?
WEST AFRICA Precipitation time series - 1900-2012. Do I see cycles? With a low in solar cycle 20.

The last eight years have been the warmest on recordGlobally, the last eight years have been the warmest recorded since 1850 with temperatures at 1.15 degrees Celsius above the 1850-1900 average.
Really Cindy? I mean REALLY?
The chart below is the last 8 years. Chart 2 puts it in perspective over the last 15 years. It changed directions on you Cindy. Please explain!
