Ms. Zharkova wrote to me a couple of years ago and told me that she and her solar science team had confirmed my long-held forecast for the grand solar minimum and global cooling right down to the year I predicted when the mini-ice age began and will end.

Cool...it would be fun to get her into a thread

Global Cooling: 2020s, 2030s & 2040s 'Arctic Ice Gone Forever? I Don't Think So' As usual, the alarmist 'man-made climate change' have once again been proven wrong when it comes to their 'arctic ice is melting' and the 'sea levels are rising because of it. Yet, for many years, I have continued to say that there is no such thing as 'man-made global warming,' and continue to state as a fact that it is the Sun that is the cause of all climate change. See how the Arctic ice cover looks now - and like never before in two decades. What you see attached are images from the Modis Composite Satellite that were recorded and taken the week of April 16-22, 2024. 'Man-made global warming,' huh? That dog don't hunt.

This Indian summer thing is a term applied to many things are we able to get a slightly more quantitative explanation, please. For starts, it is not a 'thing,' it simply means an extended summer in the autumn season. We are witnessing a variation shift of Venus to the Sun relative to the Earth. When this happens during a summer season, as it is right now in 2023, we see extended warm weather conditions. We are also, at the same time, seeing solar cycle #25 head toward its maximum by the mid-2020s. I have written about this before many times in the past, and so the maximum of solar cycle #25 is nearly here. be So what do you think Astro? Will SC26 be a third low one? Like in the Centennial Minimum. And will SC25 have a semi-continous series of La Ninos off the cycle backside... like in SC20. More IR going to space at higher levels. Net loss should lower temperatures?

Possibly not on topic but ... I find it (very?) interesting that there has not been a hurricane, typhoon, cyclone or named tropical storm anywhere on the globe for about a fortnight! Hurricane and Tropical Cyclones I've observed this phenomenon several times now so here's a question: Is there a reason/driver for periods of very low storm activity?

I do not know for sure but I would expect the answer lies with the MJO. Currently it has been spending a large amount of time in null space.

The Anthropogenic forces are always the unseen "boogy man". They ride in a cloud of data dust and assumptions.
