I've been saying for two years now that Michelle Obama will be the next president. The fact that she's making appearances in which she pushes the theme that "our democracy" is under attack makes it all the more likely. None of the potential GOP candidates would have a prayer against her. Who would vote for a candidate with virtually zero practical experience of any type? Her most notable career factoid being that she failed the IL Bar exam? Here was possibly the high point in her resume: "Robinson was inspired to follow her brother to Princeton University, which she entered in 1981.[34][7] She majored in sociology and minored in African-American studies, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in 1985 after completing a 99-page senior thesis titled "Princeton Educated Blacks and the Black Community" under the supervision of Walter Wallace.[35][6][36]" An affirmative action token black student who wrote papers on African-American studies. Even Hillary bothered to run for Senate before she made that audacious leap. I hope you guys are wrong about this, but you are smart pundits... getting depressing lol.

Her husband’s credentials weren’t much more than a speech Walnut. It’s depressing that it could be considered possible even if it doesn’t happen .

I don't think Biden drops out. But if he does the left has all but picked Gavin Newsome as the heir to the throne.

The Great Florida Beachside Retirement Crash
Besides the usual periodic Floridian housing bubble (which inflated again since 2019) a new set of financial problems seem to be poised to crush many of the recently (or not so recently) retired portions of the Sunshine State population. Old condos (lots and lots of them) that are rapidly aging ... and deteriorating (over decades) in all that salty sunshine. You will remember the one that collapsed not so long ago. New State laws and rapidly inflating insurance prices may require "fixes" that the old folks cannot afford. The Gov may have to work hard to keep his popularity up.

Net saving as a percentage of gross national income has been negative since the first quarter of 2023. The current period of negative net savings is only the third time that net saving has gone negative in more than 75 years.

Sig, what was that high yield gas pipeline stock you mentioned a few months ago? I can't find the post. Perhaps as long as Medicare/Medicaid keep funneling out the cash.

Another Tulsa gas company with WMB. Good investments if you can catch them on a dip. That's my plan for the next downturn
