COVID-19 didn't cause many lost jobs.
The RESPONSE to COVID-19 caused a huge number of lost jobs. And in the long run has probably killed the economy entirely.
If the peons/serfs stopped participating, at what point would the feudal lords have noticed? Would it have been when they stopped trading? Or when they showed up at the front door with sharpened iron instruments and longbows? Do we have a date of death yet for the headstone?

I haven't been able to verify this through official sources; if anyone can confirm or deny that I would appreciate it. c692f527-da75-4c86-b5d1-8b3d5d4d5b43.filesusr.com/ugd/2f3470_a91b5cd3655445b498f9acc63db35afd.pdf"This document includes the Executive Summary of the Maricopa County Forensic Election Audit, a listing of findings within the Findings Summary, as well as Recommendations based on our work in the audit." "Based on our other findings, however, we recommend that the Legislature tighten up the election process to provide additional certainty going forward, and that several specific findings of our audit be further reviewed by the Arizona Attorney General for a possible investigation.Such other findings include the following: • None of the various systems related to elections had numbers that would balance and agree with each other. In some cases, these differences were significant." [Edit: emphasis added.] "Logs appeared to be intentionally rolled over, and all the data in the database related to the 2020 General Election had been fully cleared. •On the ballot side, batches were not always clearly delineated, duplicated ballots were missing the required serial numbers, originals were duplicated more than once, and the Auditors were never provided Chain-of-Custody documentation for the ballots for the time-period prior to the ballot’s movement into the Auditors’ care. This all increased the complexity and difficulty in properly auditing the results; and added ambiguity into the final conclusions. •Maricopa County failed to follow basic cyber security best practices and guidelines from CISA" And remember Biden's margin in AZ overall was under 1% (a little over 10k votes). Speaking just for myself, AZ wasn't on my radar as a "questionable" state on election night. GA and PA both had more "questionable" behavior popping up. If an audit turned up this many problems in AZ I'm even less confident that those other states produced valid results.

Expect a major paper or three blaming it all on climate change (CO2) and racism. It (they) will be widely praised for their sensitivity and will get high marx.

KING COUNTY, WA MURDER SPIKE TYPIFIES NATIONAL GUN CONTROL FAILURE www.ccrkba.org/ccrkba-king-county-wa-murder-spike-typifies-national-gun-control-failure/"“Let’s look at the embarrassing data,” Gottlieb suggested. “According to the report, this year’s 73 gun-related homicides in King County so far have already surpassed last year’s total of 69, and there are still more than two months to go in 2021. Last year Seattle saw 52 murders, and the year before that there were 35. Seattle’s gun tax took effect in 2016, and that year the city reported just 19 murders." "“Statewide,” he continued, “gun control has likewise failed. In 2015, the first full year after I-594 was passed, the state reported 209 slayings, of which 141 involved firearms, according to FBI data. Last year, according to the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs, the state saw 302 murders, and their data shows 178 involving firearms. FBI data for 2019 shows 135 homicides involving firearms, so that’s quite a jump."" I imagine the panicdemic and the 'defund the police' movement have had something to do with the rise in violent crime as well, but we do seem to see more violent crime even as gun control gets tighter and tighter.

I think violent crime is increasing as a result of societal decay and the disparagement of law enforcement. I think “gun control” is completely ineffective since by definition it only impacts those who abide by the law.

It seems that no matter which party is in power there is a lack of sound economic principles. We don't do budgets anymore, we don't seem to care about the long term economic prosperity of our nation. For the last thirteen years we just QE, stimulate and print our way to prosperity. Eventually the cost of servicing our debt will rise above our ability to pay it.
To think that all we needed to do to avoid The Great Depression was turn the printing presses on and charge our way to prosperity.
