It's this entry I always found puzzling, I looked into this in the past and it really seems to be a spurious bit of information...  There is nothing volcanic about the South Coast, it is entirely sedimentary geologically and many fossils are found there. Definitely no volcanos..... The island was formed as sea levels rose at the end of the last ice age. |
