Hi old and new folks (old from SolarCycle24 proboard). I freaked out when I went to the SC24 board, and I saw... no activity since Aug 2021. Took me a while to find the new site. But here I am. Started with SC24 back in 2014. Looking forward to all the exciting discussions I saw through those years. Cheers! PS:: my old avatar represented the quantum fabric of the universe. Hi. Just joined but I visited the old site for years. I’m from Calgary and work in the natural gas industry. It’s been a bit of a roller coaster ride since I got into it back in 1985. As you can imagine when I hear about all these plans to get away from petroleum products by a certain timeframe, I shake my head in amazement at how naive some people are to think it’s going to happen.
I haven’t seen Gray Wolf here? Hope he’s doing ok. Seemed like every year he was predicting a path towards ice free summer in the Arctic.

After a hiatus of something like 1.2 decades, I have rejoined the community. Took me some time to figure out what the hell was going on, but I'm back. I don't anticipate being particularly active, but now that I'm aware of the new forum, I'll drop in from time to time.
It was particularly entertaining to read my last few posts from then. At the time I was working one month on and one month off at a camp about 70 miles north of Nakina, Ontario. It was apparently a bit rough on me, because I was far saltier than I recall being.
Anyway, glad to be back.

Yeah, regretfully, I am not in Alaska anymore. The wife informed me she was taking the kids and moving back to Jersey. I decided I loved my family more than Alaska!
Anyway, still glad to be back. Its amazing that I see some of the names and recall them.
