There is a thread on my seniors forum titled 'California'. Maybe I should rename it 'West Coast USA'?

San Francisco is dead. Chicago is dying. And how many other woke meccas are going down? The Left Coast and the Lake Coast.

Things got fairly real in Tulsa last Saturday night. Just got power back on here. 1200 # of pecan tree fell from about 60 feet up and clipped my house. I had to rebuild the weather head etc and make it look presentable enough that they would reconnect power to it. 4 houses down a huge tree tipped over, tree went right through a $2 million home. The guy sat and watched from across the street as a cowboy crew with a big crane dragged it off at 11 pm inflicting more damage. Everyone on the street drinking wine and made a party of it.
Here was the tree service, they had their own reality show a few years back.

Back in 2017 the Great Satan called in an airstrike on my house. Dropped an ancient hackberry tree on me ... it kind of fell apart and draped itself over my roof. One limb crushed part of the back deck railings. Tough house though. No real structural damage. Insurance removed the tree, replaced the roof, and fixed the cosmetic damage. Miss that tree though. It shaded 2/3 of the house. The crew I got cut the draped limbs off in smaller sections and lowered them down. Dragging a tree off with a crane (without lift) is malpractice.
I had a brown stain on my siding in one corner. I think it was a slow squirrel.

Latin populations in many areas of the US are natural allies of the Republic. Not all, but many. They have lots of history that shows smart people the way.

I tend to agree. But just for kicks, what does the board think about which will be the more important inflection point, 9/11 or the COVID pandemic?

I think that the US is a very clever model for all to observe.
Each state is autonomous, largely, and the federal overarching structure allows the world to perceive the US as one entity, it is not.
I think the divide between the Rep and the Dem will force a very serious, actual or near separation with Texas as the center piece of the new strong US but once the left sees the massive lift in performance of the Republican states all will return to normal and potentially under one federal system again.
The Romans took ages to fall apart and you do not have lead pipes.
