Incredibly unbalanced, negative way to deliver the "news": CNN — Donald Trump will be America’s 47th president, CNN projected Wednesday, after mounting the most momentous comeback in political history that will hand him massive, disruptive power at home and will send shockwaves around the world.www.cnn.com/2024/11/06/politics/trump-wins-election/index.htmlThanks Walnut. I posed this on another forum: It seems not.

IMO The USA [and the Western World] dodged a huge bullet.
I think this is an historical break point where the sea of Wokeness starts to get rolled back.
It will cause large problems elsewhere. eg The Labour Govt in the UK sent 100 "volonteers" to help the Democrats a couple of months before the election.
Apart from being blatant interference in an ally's election, they got it wrong. Also the UK Foriegn Minister has been exceedingly rude about Trump in the past.
This will not be forgotten by the new US government.
Anyhow, with three of the 4 world's largest economies now completely abandoning "net zero" targets, it is going to make most countries in Europe and Oceania look completely stupid.
They will go broke if they don't change course soon.

Another example of slanted reporting from NBC News:
"TRUMP RETURNS TO POWER Donald Trump is elected 47th U.S. president with a decisive victory, marking a historic and polarizing comeback."
**apparently not so polarizing, he won by a landslide and took back blue states.

Don't celebrate too quickly. Yes, Trump won, and won big. And that's not all - the Republicans will have a majority in the US Senate, at least 52 votes.
Wait, at least 52? Why 'at least'?
Well, let's get into the bad news. A full day and a half after the polls closed there are still three Senate races uncalled - in Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Nevada. Wait, two of those states sound familiar...
As of this morning the Republicans are also up in the House (212 to 197). There are *26* House seats still uncalled. 13 of them are in California, two in Oregon, and two in Washington. Apparently the West Coast (solidly Dem at the state level, please note) is having a hard time counting.
While Trump won, and won big, there were some oddities on election night. Why the delay calling Georgia, just as one example? Could it be that the suitcases of ballots were ready... and the decision was made that Trump was going to win too massively for them to swing things? But in safer states... maybe something could still be saved? If the Dems keep control of the House it would make things a lot harder.

Does this cast of characters set the framework for the next 12 years? If so, we may have a chance.
