I like that the people on this board seem to all be interested in getting to the truth, and tend to post good quality info. So, if we occasionally disagree, so what. I don't spend time on this board to agree with people. I would much rather people give me something to think about that I would not of otherwise considered. Lots of good opinions on here... I think I have taken much more from these boards than I have ever given. Going way back a decade or so.

I joined the old board 25 Nov 2008 in time to witness the discussion on Climategate ** one year later. I was a 'denier' well before that and I can't remember what brought me here. 'Question everything' has been my motto thru most of my adult life. ** I still have all the leaked emails and a search engine stashed somewhere .... may as well delete them.

I still remember Icefisher's bubbles and rivers in the ocean ... like gravity-forced jets in a low-temp hot tub. We're still working on quantifying the picture ... but Argo is still only a decade old. Meanwhile, the conjurers are stirring the mental cauldrens of potions and emotions that are hidden from view in Merlin's magic forest. Today's Hotel California. While the faithful await their turn to charge the ramparts and go home with a pile of cash. Ken and Karen don't seem to know the difference ... and the Grand Hotel is melting. Question everything ... but require evidence.

"Trump...His special superpower is that he is the only Republican who will unite and rally the Democratic base and drive independents away. He keeps the Biden coalition together. "
This weekend at a party, one of Mr. Trump’s New York supporters, a former officeholder, quickly made his way to me to speak of his hero. He referred to the Abraham Accords and the economy and said: “Surely you can admit he was a good president.” He was all wound up, so I spoke slowly. “I will tell you what he is: He is a bad man. I know it, and if I were a less courteous person I would say that you know it, too.” He was startled, didn’t reply, and literally took a step back. Because, I think, he does know it. But doesn’t ever expect it to be said. A journalist in our cluster said, musingly, “That was an excellent example of apophasis,” the rhetorical device of saying something by saying you’re not going to say it.

Napoleon. An interesting comparison. But Trump is not a military man ... and is too old to see it through. Where is the Democratic St. Helena? He has already been on Elba. As for military men. We don't need or want a Napoleon, We need another Eisenhower!

The United States needs a “Constitutionalist” capable of surrounding himself with only Constitutionalists, all ready and able to go to war with the Marxist filth taking over this nation.
