I am an observer from the UK.
Most people I speak to about American politics agree with Glen's statement about "the narcissist v the cognitively challenged".
I still hold out some hope that the GOP will come to its senses and find somebody other than Trump.
Trump always choses a name to try to belittle his main contender.
As you say, we all remember "Lying Ted". We still use "Sleepy Joe" here in the UK. Let's not forget "Crooked Hilary"!
Somehow "Ron DeSanctimonious" isn't catching on!
It doesn't seem to fit!
I'm surprised Trump thought of such a long word. Does he know what it means?
None of the dirt Trump throws at DeSantis seems to stick.
We can only wait to see what happens when DeSantis formally declares and some of the others start to drop out of the race.

Regardless of what anyone thinks about any candidate that becomes the Republican nominee, the Democratic Party aided by their propaganda machine, aka MSM, will crucify him (or her) nonstop 24/7/365. Any attempt to fight back will be painted as mean spirited, ugly and dangerous to children, the elderly, non-binary, non-citizens, the disabled, all minorities, the disadvantaged, the climate and pets. So, whoever it is better be fit for war. Compromise with Marxists and you lose.

This is absolutely true. Regardless of the Republican nominee, the Dems and the MSM will crucify him/her nonstop. Count on it. If you think DeSantis or any other potential nominee will not draw the fire, you are sorely mistaken, i.e. you think just because it is not Trump it will not happen? You are deluding yourself. Trump was a joke when I first heard he was running. The MSM did not pay any attention to him. He started making outlandish comments and drew fire early, but make no mistake, it would have all come down on him regardless once he got the nomination. The same holds this round. No matter who it is, they will be crucified. Count on it. (I said that twice. For a reason.) Who ever the Republican nominee is, they better be ready for pure hell, because it's coming.
