I am not a big egg guy. My household consumption of eggs is about 12-18 eggs per week. But like everyone else I have noticed the crazy price increases. My question is why? I have read lots of excuses and even conspiracy theories. So my question for the brain trust is why are eggs so expensive? Is it inflation, bird flu, feed costs, Bill Gates or all the above?

As I understand the problem, all of the above minus Bill. The chickens on our farm are fine, but we did lose a duck to an eagle 2 weeks ago.
