Somebody sent this job posting to my LinkedIn account. Should I apply? I think there's a fair number of qualified former principal staff members from SVB that may prevent you from making the shortlist Mo'boy.

It's everywhere. Maybe the lemmings will seek out cliffs.

Sargassum. There is a very large mass heading across the Atlantic/Caribbean toward Florida. My memory says that these run in cycles. Some nice satellite analysis in 2nd article.
Sargassum is considered to be an important "nursery" habitat in the open ocean. Lots of little organisms seek shelter "and a ride". Snorkeling about the edges as it comes ashore? Carnivore attraction? Hmmm. A "new disaster" to worry about. This year’s sargassum bloom began forming early and doubled in size between December and January, said Dr. Brian Lapointe, a researcher at Florida Atlantic University’s Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute. The mass “was larger in January than it has ever been since this new region of sargassum growth began in 2011,” he told CNN International’s Rosemary Church.
Same general point as in solar cycle 24? A years difference? A relationship?

That cycle seems to almost always be in a positive state +1 when we make a trip to the beach.

That cycle seems to almost always be in a positive state +1 when we make a trip to the beach. Take it as an opportunity to snorkel edges. Shelter is very limited in the open ocean. Sargassum is full of life. Even the "floating trash patches" of the open ocean have been found to be full of small ocean creatures.

well there are consequences that come from rising CO2 add to that a Tongan volcano for a bit of Fe fertilizer and we have a massive sequestration project in hand is this an opportunity for CO2 credits.

It is refreshing to find that none of the references provided mention climate change. PS: Missouri, I fixed the hboihablab.weebly.com/sargassum.html link which had been corrupted by the forum software (it had a couple of Proboard's space markers appended and gave a '404' error).

Thank you. There is no way I can find to display the because the interpreter takes over. There is something in the blank space between "the" and "because" above ("& n b s p ;"). You'll have to select BBCode to see what I mean ......
