Pork futures may have just gone down. But pig futures may have brightened. And speaking of pork ... It's one of the things that people are mad about but not the thing.
That covid stimulus is what seems to have caused the price inflation, not the QE money printing which is basically a bookkeeping entry and has been happening since 2009. The QE money all got locked up in financial assets for better or worse. But when the covid stimulus, lockdowns, and tariffs all hit at once- pow- inflation.
QE seems to have been a qualified success but at this point they have way overplayed their hand.

Having lived in 3 countries for some time it looks to me that they are not fully independent of prejudice.

Electric vehicles are about the become much more expensive if, as I think, manufacturers will be obliged to include 'something' to quell a lithium battery fire? This episode may also slow the take-up of EVs and I won't be parking one in MY garage. A burning cargo ship filled with luxury cars has been abandoned in the Atlantic OceanLithium-ion batteries in the electric cars on board the vehicle carrier Felicity Ace have caught fire and the blaze requires specialist equipment to extinguish, captain Joao Mendes Cabecas of the port of Hortas said.
It was not clear whether the batteries first sparked the fire.
"The ship is burning from one end to the other... everything is on fire about five metres above the water line," Cabecas said.

Careful I have one! You know the old saying your never to rich to get social welfare ask Musk.
To be clear I have a Q5 50TFSIe so that means it accelerates faster than the std and can go 50Km on plug in but $4k subsidy from Govt. Free charge up station everywhere HOV lanes and the opportunity to ask people who come with similar vehicles "do you run yours on petrol or coal" its a winning formulae for thought and abuse. Love it worth every penny.
