Buffalo is getting hammered by a lot of global warming goodness. My wife and I as newly weds spent a year up there in the impending ice age ‘70’s. Everyone warned us about the incredible snowfall amounts. The lake effect machine never showed up and we were not impressed by all the warnings. Now, ironically, on the threshold of a doomed and burning earth the snow machine is going strong😳

Now, ironically, on the threshold of a doomed and burning earth the snow machine is going strong😳 I lived in Anchorage Alaska from 1981 to 1989. Can't remember which winters but I recall watching TV coverage of Buffalo getting buried. Alaskans would say "glad I don't live there". I don't know "lake effect" but I do know "rim effect". Winter 2009-10 in Flagstaff AZ was memorable. A huge northern system dropped straight south offshore of California, turned east about San Diego and came roaring up the 5000 foot rim of the Colorado Plateau ... where, over two days, it dropped 4 feet of snow right on top of my house. It was personal. Flag is notorious for blizzards. Setup is critical.

Stone cold stupid? Beyond the Pale Corrupt? Both? There are some Native Americans who might take the city back. But you'll have to keep the Witch.
Perhaps Kathy would care to explain (in person) to the residents of Buffalo why they won't have any reliable coal-fired electricity today. And no natural gas either. Bets on her condition when she leaves town?

The North Rim was buried in snow.

Bets on her condition when she leaves town? She'd be fine. Her security forces have guns, and she (and many others) have gone to great lengths to take them away from her subjects.

You know what's funny to me? It's been about 70 degrees F here the last few nights, and it is forecast to get down to 67 degrees tonight. But when I go out in the morning, there are people wearing jackets, and a few pretty heavy jackets.
I've been swimming in the sea even though it's been raining. The gate guard yesterday had to chat me up when I was coming back in after my swim. He couldn't believe I'd go swimming in such cold weather. (The sea temp hasn't really changed much, but the air temp is a bit cooler than it has been. Still, I don't call this "cold.") I had to assure him it wasn't "frio" by my standard - not even approaching it. Still, he couldn't imagine swimming in these days.
Now that said, my stiff joints would prefer it if you'd keep your cold fronts north of here, and let us continue in the 80s for daytime highs. But if you can't do that, we'll still go swimming - it's how we stay healthy these days.

Them tropics-dwellers are pretty thin-skinned.
