I had a good discussion today with my family around the dinner table. Referring to Ukraine I asked when do you stand up to a Tyrant? It seems the Euro's are more worried about getting their lights turned off than they are about funding a tyrant.

The people in both Ukraine and Russia will suffer.
This is another proxy war.
Zelenskyy banned all opposition media and political parties.
Putin banned all opposition media and political parties.

Sigurdur I agree, but do you think Putin would stop with Ukraine had he not run into such stiff resistance? Or would he be marching into Poland, Bulgaria or Moldova by now? We have lost our way. President Washington was a smart feller. Foreign entanglement is not desired. We continue to have a Southern Border Crisis, National Debt crisis, wokeness crisis. Biden and his ilk have been on the unproductive authoritarian side of history so many times it is hard to count them in one year's time. But they will seem to flip on a dime when unfavorable resistance is met ... only to emerge again around the next corner. They don't really believe it. They are just probing ... like a thief would do in the dark. The brain-dead rabble, intent on platitudes, may yet rouse themselves to more than sharp words in the darkness of their urban dens. But in the daylight of the natural world, they cannot long prevail, as they create nothing that will stand on its own. It requires massive complicity to support a lie. |
