In WW2 the communist world were virtually identical to the fascist world. Nazism was the "National Socialist Party" and their manifesto is still largely the same as the NZ Labour party and I am sure many other Left or Socialist parties.
It suits everyone to cast the Fascists as the Right. In reality it was a turf war not an ideology war.
The Left everywhere are scared of the world realizing that this is in fact the case because they will loose an enemy and see a reflection of themselves, not pretty.

Not garbage. Both sides in the Ukraine conflict are dirty. The Rah Rah for Ukraine isn't any more deserving than a Rah Rah for Russia. I trust Russia more than I trust Ukraine. You think the Italian mob is brutal? They don't hold a candle to the Ukraine mob. I am very troubled that we have bio-labs in Ukraine. That area is crooked as hell, has little regard for life and grandiose ideas of being this "pure" race. They know how to work the "system". Prime example is Hunter Biden. Pure graft to gain oh so much more "aid" to plunder. I did some funky stuff for a bit in my life. I watched the testimony about the bio-labs. I have to give the lady credit. She didn't lie. The result of this testimony was a full frontal assault by the US government denying that there were labs. On this one, the Russians are correct. Other crap, not so much. Russia has sued for Peace. US refuses to accept. The current administration recognizes they now have a scapegoat for inflation. Make no mistake, the current inflation is the result of this administration's policies. They think they can monetize the debt via inflation. Problem with that idea is the debt has become to large to effectively monetize without serious pain for electors. We have become a country of open graft and grifters, not much different than Ukraine or Russia. The public teat is open. I am old, the speed of the implosion of my beautiful country is remarkable. We have weak men leading us. My dad's quote, basically enumerated from his death bed a few years ago rings true. Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times |

Make no mistake about it. Putin is an ex KGB, Stalin wanna be. Much like Hitler outlined in Mein Kampf Putin is on record of saying "The breakup of the Soviet Union was the greatest geopolitical tragedy of the 20th century." They are of the same ilk.
With that being said this is very predictable and could have been avoided. In 1962 we did not want missiles in our backyard in Cuba and understandably Putin does not want NATO in his. Diplomacy is a little give and a little take.
The Euro's, in particularly Germany have morphed into a spineless liberal bastion of incompetence. While Putin is destroying Ukraine most of Europe is still paying him over 1 Billion USD per day in crude and natural gas. Neville Chamberlain might have given Hitler Czechoslovakia in 1938 but he did not pay Hitler to take it.
As an ex employee of the oil and gas industry I find the Biden Administration's attempt to coerce the industry they did their best to destroy back into production laughable.
Simply put this is like an episode of Ozark. There are no good players. No good guys wearing white. Just very, very poor leaders bringing the world to the brink.
