Lots of talk about Central Bank Digital Currencies. But I am skeptical, won't something else develop as a form of currency to avoid big brother? For instance I sell my crab everyday at seafood markets and restaurants. At some point a CBDC credit is less desirable than say four nice T-bones and a bottle of good Malbec from Argentina.

If I get tired of T-Bones and good wine I can trade them to Sigurdur for a couple of baskets of homegrown potatoes from North Dakota.

But the whole concept of CBDC's is why I have never invested in Bitcoin. At some point those who create CBDC's don't want Bitcoin around competing with them...
