A remarkable, and truly nice guy…from New York.😎 Was HE the one? There are many great people here. There are also a lot of rotten ones. Many more good than bad.

Having lived a good part of my life in New Orleans, I always get a tear in my eye when I hear "In the Heart of the Night."

We've lost a lot of great musicians this year. Hard to believe how many of the stars of the classic vinyl era are now in their 80s. Makes me feel young!

I've been selling my soul, working all day, overtime hours for bullshit pay,
So, I can sit out here and waste my life away, drag back home, and drown my troubles away.
It's a damn shame what the world's gotten to for people like me — for people like you.
Wish I could just wake up and it not be true. But it is. Oh, it is.
Living in the New World – with an old soul.
These rich men north of Richmond. Lord knows it all. Just want to have total control.
Want to know what you think, want to know what you do.
And they don't think you know. But I know that you do.
Because your dollar ain't shit, and it's taxed to no end because the rich men north of Richmond.
I wish politicians would look out for miners and not just minors on an island somewhere.
Lord, we got folks in the street, ain't got nothing to eat, and the obese milking welfare.
God, if you're five foot three, and you're 300 pounds, taxes ought not to pay for your bags of fudge rounds.
Young men are putting themselves 6 feet in the ground because all this damn country does is keep on kicking them down.
Lord, it's a damn shame – what the world's gotten to for people like me, people like you.
Wish I could just wake up and it not be true. But it is. Oh, it is.

And, of course, RIP to the great Jimmy Buffett. We drank margaritas and ate cheeseburgers yesterday to see him on his way to paradise.

And, of course, RIP to the great Jimmy Buffett. We drank margaritas and ate cheeseburgers yesterday to see him on his way to paradise. My diet prevented my doing the same. Your dietitian is wrong. Cheese burgers are one of the essential food groups. . Scientific American puts then down Further reflection revealed that it’s quite impractical—nearly impossible—to make a cheeseburger from scratch. Tomatoes are in season in the late summer. Lettuce is in season in spring and fall. Large mammals are slaughtered in early winter. The process of making such a burger would take nearly a year, and would inherently involve omitting some core cheeseburger ingredients. It would be wildly expensive—requiring a trio of cows—and demand many acres of land. There’s just no sense in it.
A cheeseburger cannot exist outside of a highly developed, post-agrarian society. It requires a complex interaction between a handful of vendors—in all likelihood, a couple of dozen—and the ability to ship ingredients vast distances while keeping them fresh. The cheeseburger couldn’t have existed until nearly a century ago as, indeed, it did not.
