From Willis Eschenbach's FB page: A valid point. But perhaps an equally valid point might be that, while there are many in the crowd that we don't want, there also are many amongst this flood of humanity (surely as many? as amongst the boatloads of Europeans that swarmed our shores in earlier ages) that are decent people ... those dragging their children through the Darien for example ... that are looking for work and a better life. Likely as many as in our earlier migrant waves? I propose a compromise. For every migrant we receive, we export an equal number of our crooks and carpetbaggers in the opposite direction. I think that might be a winning proposition. Then we go about weeding out those newcomers that should have been weeded at the border.

You can't do that ... it would be a violation of their human rights. Would you consider euthanasia & composting as a compromise?

I think that might be a winning proposition. Then we go about weeding out those newcomers that should have been weeded at the border. I have no definitive proof, but I have seen data that leads me to believe that while both the "old" immigrants from Europe and the "new" from South/Central America were/are looking for a better life, they entered with a different idea of how to achieve that. The new crop seem to want the welfare system and are happy to vote for "universal healthcare". That isn't their fault exactly - its what significant elements of the .gov have marketed the US as having.
The "old" wave, by and large, didn't sneak in. Again, not entirely the fault of the new wave - we've changed how we receive the "tired, poor, huddled masses."
It is, in my blunt opinion, a problem of assimilation. If you're going to a place because it is better, it only makes sense to adjust yourself to that better place. If you instead insist that the place change, you are probably going to change it for the worse. We see the same problem in 'immigrants' from Blue states fleeing to Red states.
My g'g'great grandad came through Ellis Isle. He told them his name. They wrote it down differently. He accepted that, because he was coming to a new and better place and if that meant changing his name it was a tiny price to pay. He was FAR from the only one. It was a token change, but a sign of bigger things. How many of those millions sneaking across the border last year do you think would be willing to change their names to something Americanized, and pass on those new names to their children and grandchildren with pride? Some, certainly. How many will take ESL classes at night after a full day's work, and raise their children to speak better English than they do? Again, some. We need THOSE people - they're better than an awful lot of our current citizens. The rest? They may not realize it, but their primary effect will be to make this place like the place they came from.
And after the US falls, where will the next wave go?

Does this matter?
As a comparison in the 1970's I lived in a country in Europe for some years NL. They had an election proportional representation was the process the Christian Democrats won in a landslide, "their words" they got 35% of the vote then spent nearly 4 months to form a government.
I was stunned how it could take that long but the country ran just fine.
We in NZ have an annual supply requirement I would change that to triennial and not have government including the spin doctors for all but the last 6 months. Massive savings!

We should do it too. The Dutch are once again going to find out what Woke is capable of if they're not careful.

LOL HOW ?? 40% is how many people ? Morons and Charlatans. At least 40 million households. Perhaps wood-burning kitchen stoves again. They are NOT interested in your health. Control however.
