Nice idea will not go like that. But getting hard for Biden to be soft on China.
Ultimately China are smart they know their weaknesses and in a head to head conflict they know they will loose even if they pull it together and hold the US out the world will not run with them after a conflict.
In NZ we are so vulnerable its unbelievable we are 1% of the economic size of the US, yes 1% and our trade with China is $40B two way. Even so we will run with the US believe it.
They are obviously very worried though.

Should this thread have been named the Biden Occupancy? Occupy White House?
The Sock Puppet Presidency?
I've already suggested something like "The soon-to-be-Harris Presidency"...

Occupy White House? Sock The Puppet Presidency!!! I've already suggested something like "The soon-to-be-Harris dynasty" ... And the Books recorded that the Soon Dynasty was late ... and short ... and smelled of low morals, attached to the well-heeled.

I don't know how the US just sits back and allows China to roll over Taiwan and the South China Sea (unfortunately misnamed - kind of like the Persian Gulf) without a serious loss of status. Some would say that status / standing are not important, and that the Taiwan people are not really free. Perhaps we should ask the Taiwanese. I strongly support staying out of other peoples business and fights. But there are exceptions. I wonder if Chamberlain ever regretted signing the Munich Agreement. He only bought delay, not redemption.

Chamberlain won an extra year for the UK maybe critical for their survival. I admit I struggle to support him. I tried.
I have business contacts in Taiwan and they are great people in a hugely successful country they represent how the world should function economically.
China is envious that they don't have the x factor that a fast developing market economy gives you.
My company just this week has been bought by a very large Swedish corp. their thinking is 3 years plus. many people mistake Sweden for a socialist paradise its not its a place that has high tax to give a strong drive to egalitarianism regardless that it will never happen.
These are the models we need to follow each has a capitalist engine generating lots of cash at their centre.
Interesting to note no discussion about Swedish covid its over, Boris may have worked it out.

Interesting to note no discussion about Swedish covid its over, Boris may have worked it out. Boris seems to be busily recruiting (strong arming) students to join the vaccine club. Irrespective that the news reports 9 out of 10 Brits as either having had covid or the "vaccines". If the herd isn't relatively safe by now, then something is wrong with the data or the logic, and they ought to figure it out. A revisit of the "master plan" might result in some egg on certain ministers faces. Of course, the administration here is also trying to revisit the grand vaccine plan without accounting for a high relative immunity through previous infection. They are like the one-trick pony. Can not or will not adapt for a more logical plan. They need a green pasture and NO responsibilities (or salaries).

Oh, it's Hiawatha KS, somewhat further up. Coming from Eufaula OK. 367 miles. Don't worry, we will be shopping on that one. KC used to be $800.
A lot of our smaller owner truckers quit thanks to the new democrat driven e-log requirements, many drivers said "pass".

As usual, it's time for the government to get the hell out of the way.
