I went to a funeral in Austin, Texas on Sunday. Not having been there in years I was shocked at the number of huge Apartment complexes that were popping up everywhere. Dozens and dozens of them it seemed everywhere. My wife asked me a good question. Where are all the people living now that are going to be renting these new apartments? Then it dawned on me that there are not enough people to occupy all these apartments. They like the Apartment buildings in China that have been sitting vacant were built with free money provided by reserve banks. The result of QE. Free money has consequences and now we have to pay them. We all heard what Jamie Dimon said about an economic hurricane coming. But few of us heard the rest of his comments: I remember back about 1980, Tulsa appeared to me somewhat larger than Austin. And bigger than Vegas. Not anymore.
It seemed to me that we were surviving and prospering under many years of QE. But the world could not afford the covid hoax, with all of it's fiscal (physical) hard cash printing, minimum wage hikes, free evergreen loans, and business shutdowns and logistical shutdowns.

Just got the China flu last week. I don't feel like it was a hoax at all and I would not wish it on anyone. With that being said our response was pretty stupid, shutting down everything and handing out helicopter money looks like it was the straw that is going to break the camels back all over the world. Our leaders need to realize prosperous economic times are fragile and worth preserving. Not shutting down.

Virus engineered in a lab, a corporation involved in creating it also selling us required, ineffective, and possibly extremely dangerous "vaccines" (ahem) to cure their bio-weapon virus.
It's no surprise that the virus was an unpleasant experience for you, as we would expect a lab designed supervirus to be.
(sorry to link infowars but FWIW)

I fear that my respect for a portion of the medical establishment took a serious hit during this whole affair. I already knew that a large portion of the political crew was corrupt(able) ... and we are left to hope that the light we see through the tunnel is recovery ... and not conflagration . Off to Portugal.
The sun is just rising (yes I know) over the mountains of Volterra and the remnants of a ~3000 year old civilization that probably thought it was the pinnacle of its time. And they were right, but forgot how quickly dominance can shift. Did they doubt their brilliant political stars as their world fell apart? Todays' only real remnants of that civilization are the stone foundations, tunnels and buried (since excavated) funerary urns with stone likenesses of their cremated occupants. What will our remnants look like? Tally ho.

Thank You missouriboy. It was a bad case of the flu. Fever, headache, persistent cough, severe chills and a double dose of weakness. Enjoy Portugal!

I was listening to the Fed chair yesterday explaining why they hiked the rate 75 basis points instead of 50. Mr. Powell painted a rosy picture of how strong the labor market is and how inflation will be at the target of 2% yada, yada, yada....
I kept asking myself if this guy did not see the highest inflation in almost 50 years coming how can he possibly see it going? His speech was just a pep rally not grounded in reality. I have to say that he is either A.) Clueless. B.) Incredibly optimistic or C.) Lying to his teeth. I hope it's not A.) or C.)
I don't know about the rest of you guys but I have serious, serious concerns about the Fed quantitative tightening. Essentially removing the biggest source of fuel our economy has been running on for the last decade. Apparently the market did not buy into Mr. Powell's speech either. It's currently down 800 more points.

The bumbling of this administration has become daily, per minute something gets screwed up. Energy Secretary. Oil companies need to ramp up production, to finish the sentence off she said in 5 years no production required. How damn dumb do you have to be to spew this crap? ?

Pretty damn dumb ... or the greatest believer in fairy tales since Snow White. Actually I think there is a better than even chance she is just a crook, trying to extract as much as she can, and jettison before impact. Find a nice little island, and ride out the implosion in high style. She should be hunted down. I have more sympathy for deer.

They have moved beyond their intelligence and training ... and are stuck with their mouths open and their asses puckered. Looking for someone else to pin the blame on because they have no personal honor. That probably means we are in for a rough ride. But we should have long memories.

From today's The Age newspaper:
[[The crisis in the energy market has strengthened the case for Australia to reduce its reliance on gas and coal in favour of renewables, the nation’s peak energy regulator has declared in a warning about the exposure to soaring global prices for fossil fuels.
Energy Security Board chair Anna Collyer said the pressure on the electricity grid highlighted the need for reform to move “beyond the crisis” by continuing the long-term shift to solar, wind, hydro and other renewable power.]]
I think the Chair is living on another planet, not in one of the most fossil fuel rich places on earth.
