In the building up of hostilities leading to the War of 1812, from the book:
“Madison was fully aware that any onset of hostilities would pose a grave threat to the nation's republican form of government. "Of all the enemies to pubic liberty”, Madison once wrote, "war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few”
So, nothing has changed.

Democrats are still down in the polls. Expect the FBI to provoke another cross-dressing malcontent to buy an ar-15 this summer. I’m reading a book about James Madison. Some of his quotes are absolutely incredible with respect to his reasoning regarding government and tyranny. The United States is so far from the framer’s intent that our future relative to their warnings seems hopeless. The book’s title is: Liberty & Learning, The Essential James Madison I’m fairly certain he would have argued against the existence of the FBI and every other alphabet soup agency that has free reign over the citizenry and no fear of election outcomes.
